Welcome new Board of Directors members

The Dunnville Farmers’ Market Association had their annual general meeting last week and positions have been filled for our Board of Directors.  We have had a few changes to the Board of Directors and  would like to share those changes with you.

We would like to welcome the following people to the Board of Directors for the Dunnville Farmers’ Market Association.

Sarah Reynolds of Olive’s Heirlooms is now the Vice President.  Sarah has been a valued member of the board for a number of years as a Director.  She has  also been a long-time farm vendor.  Sarah  is also the person who looks after our market day facebook posting and sits on the Marketing and Special Events Committee as co chair.  .

Diane Cumming of Frances & Roy Johnson family farm, has stepped into the position of Secretary.  Diane has been a valued farm vendor for many years.  She is the daughter of Frances and Roy who have been attending the Dunnville Market for about 60 years.  Diane has been on our vendor application committee for a few years now and will continue on that committee.

Diane is filling the vacancy as Secretary,  as Paul Houser made the decision, after holding it for over 25 years, it was time to give it up.  However, Paul is going to continue to serve as a Director and will continue to look after our legacy binder.

 

Karen Gauthier from KarMichaels Seafood has taken a Directors potion. Karen will also be training this year to take over the daily manager role with the assistance of the Board.  She will also be on the Vendor application committee.

Amanda Croft of Cane 9 kennels dog biscuits is also taking a Director  Amanda will also be joining the Marketing and Special Events committee

They are filling open positions we had with the retirement of two of our members.

They are joining the following returning  Board Members

James Richardson from Richardson’s Farm and Market will continue in the position of President.  James is actively involved in all aspects of the market and sits on a number of the committees.  James has held the President position for a number of years.

Kim Drew from Purple Haven Farm will continue in the position of Treasurer and will continue to co chair the Marketing and Special Event committee.  Kim also looks after the website, and works on  facebook postings along with James and Sarah.

Chris Houser from Houser’s Home Grown will continue to hold a Director Position with the board.  Chris also sits on the Building Maintenance committee.
